Black Friday is the day following Thanksgiving Day in the United States. This year it is scheduled to be on the 24th of November.

Well, thanksgiving is an all American tradition so as Black Friday. However, like Halloween, it is starting to catch up with the whole world. So it’s pretty much happening everywhere. Even though some countries take it more seriously than others.

The term itself has been echoing for centuries now. Even though it used to have extremely different connotations. It has been used to depict drops in economy, or negative political events. However, It has been reversed recently to indicate the biggest shopping occasion on the planet. Black Friday is a shopping day for a combination of reasons. As the first day after the last major holiday before Christmas, it marks the unofficial beginning of the Christmas shopping season. Additionally, many employers give their employees the day off as part of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Like other American festivals, the event is trending fast across the world.


How can you get the best out of it?

Okay, shopping is great. However, shopping just for the sake of shopping can be burdening and can get you in a lot of trouble. So the idea is how can you optimize your shopping experience to get what you really need at the best price. We first recommend that you start doing your research ahead. Make a list of all the things you need this season, winter clothing, new electronic devices, trip tickets, etc. The thoroughly do your research on where you plan to buy them from. Make a plan A and B with different brands to compare prices and specs. After you settle on what you want, start following up on the websites, applications, and newsletters of these brands. Remember, the date will slightly differ in Egypt, and some brands will have a whole week or even the full month of November as a sale. Try to get your shopping online to avoid the traffic. And always always keep the receipt.
