Getting To Know Al-Masria Universal Airlines

Al-Masria Universal is a private Egyptian airline founded in 2007. It launched its operations in 2009, in the midst of the global financial crises, to take advantage of the low prices in the airline industry. Besides offering charter and weekly scheduled flights, the company also operates as a cargo carrier. Ground services are provided by EgyptAir, and Germany’s Lufthansa LSG Sky Chefs in partnership with EgyptAir provide the inflight meal catering services.

The AlMasria Universal fleet is made up of the Airbus A320-200 series aircraft that can each carry up to 150 passengers, and two Airbus A321 series aircraft that carry up to 188 passengers. The company has plans to double their fleet size in the next year.

Baggage Allowance

Checked-in Luggage:

Passengers are permitted one piece of checked-in baggage, with a maximum weight of 20 kg.

Carry-on Baggage:

Passengers can also bring one piece of carry-on luggage. Its size not to exceed 55 cm x 35 cm x 25 cm, and its maximum weight should be no more than 5 kg.

Al-Masria Universal offers regular flights along 14 routes to 8 destinations. Current routes include Cairo to Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, and Milan. From Cairo you can also fly into different locations in Saudia Arabia, including Buraidah, Jeddah, Yanbu, Ta’if, Tabuk, Abha and Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz Airport. Flights also operate weekly out of Alexandria to Jeddah and Yanbu.
