Getting to know Malaysia Airlines

The airline first took to the sky’s over 70 years ago in 1947 as Malayan Airways Limited however, due to Singapore’s independence in 1972 the carrier’s assets were split to form Singapore Airlines as well as Malaysian Airlines.

Just like the logo it uses of a ‘wau bulan’ a traditional Malaysian kite design, this airline has been through its ups and downs over the years but remains resilient.

Cabin classes

First class

As mentioned above is only available on selected aircrafts which service all rouites to London Heathrow. Important to note is that Malaysian Airlines does not allow infants and babies in first class.

Business class

Previously known as the Golden Club is available on all airlines in their fleet flying internationally and regionally with seating arrangements having a slight differentiation from aircraft to aircraft.

Economy class

Offered to all passengers flying internationally and regionally Malaysian airlines economy class was voted the World's Best Economy Class at the 2010 World Airline Awards by Skytrax.
