Getting to know Aerolineas Argentinas

Aerolineas Argentinas is the largest airline in Argentina and also the country’s flag carrier. It was established in 1950, making it one of the older airlines around the globe.

Following severe financial troubles, the airline was taken over by a consortium led by Spanish airline Iberia in 1990. However, the Argentinian government regained control over Aerolineas in 2008 and has been entirely state-owned since the end of 2014.
