We commonly forget ourselves in the hustle and bustle of our daily life, nobody wishes for more than finishing work, heading home, eating, meeting with some friends or watching TV, sleeping, then repeat…
Find out 13 reasons why you should drop everything, book a ticket and fly.
You’re human, you deserve a vacation
The more you postpone it, the more work piles up, and you end up feeling more annoyed, angrier & stressed out.

Don’t say my boss is not flexible, and the company totally counts on me
Firstly, you’re fooling yourself, if you decided to leave tomorrow they will find a hundred others to replace you, secondly the more you don’t give yourself a “me time” the more your productivity decreases, lastly and most importantly there is a reason why Labor Law has given you 21 days of paid leaves. Plan your vacation 3-4 months in advance and your boss won’t even dare to say no.

Enjoying the feeling of earning a vacation
After several months of hard work earning a vacation is an indescribable feeling. Imagine yourself handing over your work before going on a vacation, sending out that out-of-office message, switching off your alarm & your mobile phone to disconnect from the world. Aren’t you hungry for that feeling?

To Learn
Life is not meant to be spent in one place, go ahead explore the world that surround you. There is no better way to learn than traveling. Life is after all a collection of experiences, that come in so many forms and getting into a new culture is one of them.

The world is so big
The more you explore, the more you feel that there is still more to experience & see. If you keep wasting time, you won’t get to experience it all.

You deserve some “me time”
To observe, think, meditate, and be inspired. Believe me this will never happen while stuck at work with piles of work to finish.

For the Stories
Don’t you want to be one of those lucky fellows who have been almost everywhere, tried everything, ate all sorts of awkward foods? Those who share countless stories of adventures and misadventures around the world with friends, children and grandchildren? Those who display a bazillion of photos that remind them every single day that they have always had an interesting life that’s worth living? Don’t you want to leave a legacy behind?

To grow & look at the world from a different perspective
The more you travel, the more you’re introduced to other cultures, which widens your horizons, and makes you more accepting and tolerant to other ideas and differences in cultures. It is also an opportunity to introduce your culture to others, and clarify any misconceptions. Stepping out of your comfort zone is no easy task, but once you do it you’ll be totally addicted to it.

For your family and loved ones
Work responsibilities shouldn’t take you from your family and loved ones, don’t claim that you are working for extra hours for their own sake, because having you around is way more important than having your money. Remember that money doesn’t buy happiness & spending time with family is way more rewarding.

Try Things you’re not familiar with
Eat snails, crocodiles, frogs, throw tomatoes at your friends, ride an elephant, dive with sharks, skydive, bungee-jump, climb a mountain, hitch-hike, you name it!
The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page.~ St. Augustine.

To cope with troubles & toughen up
Travel is the perfect way to know how capable you are of taking care of yourself in a foreign country, and how far you can cope with any bad turn of events. Let’s say you’ve had a bad day; twisted your ankle, got robbed on a bus, missed a train, and finally someone has been stalking you, now you’re on your own, there is no mommy or daddy in here to get you out of trouble, you have to find a way out.

Bonus tips
- If you’re single; now is the perfect time to travel as much as you can, you have zero responsibilities, no one depends on you and above all you have a lot of me time.
- If you’re married; it can be more difficult to save for a family trip, however you have to make sure to have at least one trip a year, those memories that you’ll have are worth the money saved and hard worked for.
